Internship Guidelines

Internships are a critical part of nursing education, allowing students to gain hands-on clinical experience and prepare for professional practice. The Tamil Nadu School of Nursing Association (TN-SONA) provides guidance on internships in Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility for Internship

Students enrolled in B.Sc Nursing, GNM, or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing programs

Completion of preclinical coursework required by the respective college

Minimum academic performance as specified by the institution

Application Process

Identify Affiliated Hospitals: Colleges usually have partnerships with hospitals or healthcare centers.

Submit Application: Apply through the college internship office with required documents.

Orientation & Training: Attend orientation sessions conducted by the hospital or institution.

Internship Completion: Complete the prescribed clinical hours under supervision.
